The V&P Humidity Chamber was designed to
maintain a constant humidity while tumble stirring long term
cultures. Long term cultures often result in the outside wells
evaporating at a faster rate than the center wells. This
phenomena interferes with the reproducibility of experimental
results. The Humidity Chamber maintains the same high humidity
throughout, and prevents the outside wells from evaporating. It
may also be used to maintain the pH of culture media by holding
the proper mixture of CO2 and
O2. The chamber has
two gas ports on opposite sides for complete purging of gases. The chamber also has a microplate tray capable of handling
four layers of nine microplates. Stainless steel spring hinges keep
the door tightly sealed on the gasket
