The photo on the right illustrates
the adaptor plate on the mounting plate (BMPFX) for the Beckman FX robot.
The four white objects are pickup posts which wedge into the pin tool and
hold it in place.

the adaptor plate on the mounting plate (BMPMULTIMEK) for the Beckman
MultiMek robot (and 4 other robot systems that still use the Carl Creative
Systems tip loader feature)
The photo on the right illustrates how a
VP 242R Robot Loading Jig is designed with a bottom portion that has the
same dimensions as a standard microplate so it will fit in microplate
holders on any robot deck. The top portion of the VP 242R forms a
"holder" for the disposable pin tool. Disposable Pin Tools can
be placed in the jig manually or with a plate handling robot. The
Disposable Pin Tools can be loaded into the robotic stackers for this
purpose.
The Photo on the right illustrates a
Robot adaptor (VP 240R) attached to a Caliper (Zymark) Mounting Plate poised to pick
up a Disposable Pin tool in a Loading Jig.
The photo on the right illustrates how
the Pick up Posts fit snuggly inside the Disposable Pin Tool to secure it.
The photo
on the right illustrates how the Disposable Pin Tool can be easily removed
from the Robot Plate Adaptor by using the stripper arms of the VP 245R.
The photo on the right illustrates how
when the disposable pin tool is lowered into the stripper mechanism the pin
tool is held in place when the robot moves up.
The photo on the right illustrates how
the plate is stripped off the adaptor. There are several ways to mount
the VP 245R Stripper on a robot deck. This may vary with different
deck configuration. What is important is to choose a position so the
used pin tools can fall into a waste container. |
