CONCLUSIONS

• One pin tool can transfer a range of volumes by simply adjusting the speed of withdrawal from the source plate
• Pin tools increase versatility of existing automated liquid handling systems
• Method development is quick
• Pin tools are useful for many applications
• Hydrophobic coatings have the most impact at slow speeds and on larger pin diameter.
