Pin Tool Floating Frame Fixtures

      
 
These PerkinElmer Floating Frame Fixtures consist of a top float plate that will accommodate all 1.58 mm diameter tubes, a bottom float plate that will accommodate either a .229 mm, .457 mm or .787 mm diameter pin and 8 standoffs that keep the two plates separate.  The length of the standoff is determined by the length of the pin used.  For PerkinElmer pin tools we recommend the shorter FP_C series pins. These fixtures are unique to the PerkinElmer Pin Tools as they are connected to the PerkinElmer Pin Resetting Mounting Feature provided by PerkinElmer.  The Mounting Feature in return can be used with PlateTraks, MiniTraks, or the EP3 robot workstations. This mounting feature not only assures that the pins are reset after each transfer but it is "hot swapable" and can be changed "on the fly".  This feature allows you to use the workstation as a pipettor or a pin tool.

  E-Clip Type Double Plate Floating Frame Fixtures

      
 


The Robot E-Clip Type Fixtures consist of a top float plate that will  accommodate a 1.58 mm diameter FP pr FP6 series E-Clip pin and a bottom float plate that will also accommodate the same pins.  It also has eight 3.175 mm standoffs that keep the two plates separate.  The larger diameter pins permit larger volumes of liquid to be transported.
